Stephen is a vastly experienced coach of not just judo and aikido and a number of martial arts and is a qualified police instructor. The event has been running since 2002 and has had many distinguished visitors, including Kodokan hachidan Akinori Hosaka and Yorikyu Yamamoto. "We are delighted the President is coming," said Cumbria and Borders Technical Officer John Barton. "This course has been going for ten years and it is entirely appropriate that to celebrate its tenth year the President is joining what is already a strong coaching team."
